Among our recent projects, The Coca-Cola Bottling Company was recently relocated from Airline Highway to Plank Road in North Baton Rouge. After the construction of the new facility was completed, we were commissioned as the landscape architects to add the finishing touches to the exterior space.
A large outdoor gathering space was designed to accommodate large crowds at future entertainment events and includes a unique fountain that was constructed using the concrete façade from the original building as a distinct feature in the design. Native plant materials were used in the garden beds to minimize maintenance needs. The colors of certain plants were specifically chosen to reflect the colors in the traditional Coca-Cola logo. Approximately 600 freestanding trees were planted in the areas surrounding the plant to reforest the area that had been cleared for the new construction.
Eduardo's work with the new Coca-Cola Bottling location was recognized when he was given the 2009 Good Growth Award presented by the Baton Rouge Growth Coalition, an organization dedicated to responsible, well-planned growth in the Greater Baton Rouge Area.
